Why did you get involved in environmental work?
Unfortunately it was the logging of the Wombat Forest. Initially I had very little understanding of the complexity of the forest ecosystems.
What was it about your special area that interested you?
I have always been fascinated by complexity and the natural world is full of interrelated systems which are gradually made apparent by scientific research and observation.
Initiatives?
I love the Natural Newstead blog which is a seasonal nature sightings site from the Newstead area, just north of the Wombat Forest.
